    There weren’t many specialty bookies back then. They would cover any game and they don’t watch them all, they just read the results on the papers. The papers didn’t say the game times, just the results. Not everybody’s stupid but you can fool a genius once in a while. Problem with Anthony was he did it for 3 weeks straight! Just goes to show people can be both smart and stupid at the same time.

    Best thing about Artie’s stories is that it’s so much details you can actually feel ur there with him, I LOVE IT. so detailed and such a contagious laugh

    That couldnt have been more of a genuine uncontrollable laugh. Howard has never laughed like that so not sure how you can compare that to his other laughs. You can tell Artie struck a chord and made him laugh. You can audibly hear that it’s just bursting out of him and is not forced whatsoever.

    It’s not the story so much as it is Howard and Artie laughing so hard it just makes you laugh. Makes you miss the old days too.
